Wow, it's been almost a month since my last update. Damn, I'm getting bad about doing this.

This show down in Raleigh looks to be worth the trip. Would love to see Voltaire and Bella Morte. I've heard of, but never heard The Brides, Tix are only $20, so hell yes, I'm going.

Dr. Pains Haunted Asylum is a haunted house that I'm involved with....

Got back from seeing MSI in Norfolk. Rockin' good show, maties! Going down there again this weekend to see my half-sister, who I haven't seen in like 4 years!

Whoot!

Man, my life rocks! The only real problem is that I'm just racking up the miles on my car. I've only had it a year, and I managed to put 19K on it. Whoops! frown

But...

Woah.. Damn, it's been forever and a day since I updated. Man, what happened?

Taking a friend of mine to go see Mindless Self Indulgance down in Norfolk on sunday. Whoot! A reason to get out of town.

The Subaru has been running great. I can't believe that in less than a year, it's gone from 19K miles to almost 38K miles.

Roanoke county PD...

Went and saw Kung Fu Hustle on Tuesday. Damn good movie.

Enough comedy to keep you laughing the entire movie, good martial arts moves and a strong story. And plenty of tongue-in-cheek references to other movies.

Ebay is evil. Pure and simple unadulterated evil. It's going to seperate me from all my money, I know it will...

Rugby. I'm too old. And yet I keep doing it. Actually, I think that I've lost a little weight since I started, and my endurance is up. Whoot!

The ex and I are having issues right now. She moved out almost a year ago, and she still hasn't come to pick up two of her cats. I've decided that it's time for them to go....

Maybe I should take one of those cat-type things. Nothing says "I'm over you" like "I gave your cats to some random dude". -Dave

Please tell me she got her cats. She can't be that mean, can she?

Got back from DC. Heck of a trip. Met up with some friends and went bar hopping in addition to doing the touristy stuff.

Got to see a few of the Smithsoanians. Waited until the last day to see the holocaust museum, then wasn't able to get tickets to go inside. Damnit.

I'm back in Roanoke for a while now. Whopptie-doo!

Too much time between updates. I've been busy.

Go see Sin City. Go see Sin City now.

Had a bizarre experience last night. Went out and partied and fell asleep in my car. Woke up, and didn't know where I was for a second. I thought that I was back in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Bizarre.

Going up to DC the end of...

have fun in DC!! i have some friends that have been to the holocaust museum. i haven't been there myself i am usually too distracted by the art exhibits in the smithsonian. but i would like to check out the holocaust museum. i imagine the museum has quite an intense impact on most who visit...that it is something that stays with you a long time.

take care!

gumbercules81:
Definitely check out the holocaust museum. It was the high point of 11th grade for me, and it's well worth your time.

Now for my mandatory political rant: the 6 million Jews who died is a horrible number to fathom, but here are some other numbers. Over 20 million Russians died during the war, and not just soldiers. That includes civilians. And in our own fire bombing campaign on Japan in the final months of the war we destroyed 60-90% of dozens of Japanese cities. Think of cities like Cleveland, Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Seattle, and Oakland for proportion, ordinary cities about that size that really have no strategic importance but are razed anyway. That period in time was immensely fucked up on all sides.

Whoot! Just got back from a week-long tour of Florida and New Orleans.

Fort Lauderdale was a complete blast. They have a boardwalk near the beach with a cool little "neighboorhood"-esque bar called Elbo Room. We hung out there and drank beer and had a blast. Fort Lauderdale is an intresting city. Saw more Ferraris driving around there than I have ever seen before in...

It does make for good views but it is difficult in the winter. The times when we have problems is during ice, snow storms, and high winds. Sometimes you just have to park the vehicle and walk up the last leg of the roads because the 4-wheel drive vehicle won't even go up them. I would still take it as opposed to sitting in an office 40hrs a week. -Dave

The PA is in. The piercing itself wasn't too bad, but it was bloody after about 30 minutes. Evertyhing seems to have settled down now, with the exception of things being a little sore.

Gonna go out and watch Roanoke Rugby practice today and see if it's something that I'm intrested in doing. I had an eye exam today, so my pupils are blown, and...

Wow, it seems like it's been forever since I updated. I've just been too busy to even think about doing anything online. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes.

The home theater is coming together pretty well. I had to order some cables that are coming from California, so that's going to take a while. Damnit, waiting sucks..

What happens when it's Monday in Roanoke,...

Note to self: Drinking competitions never wind up well. Even if you win, you loose.

Damn this cold weather. Damnit. It's not snowing so that there is something to do outside, it's just fucking cold and miserable.

The good news is that the car is in the shop to get the sheet metal straighted out. The bad news is that they're talking their sweet time...

Not much to update about. Actually, that's a complete and utter lie. There's been a lot to update about, just nothing that needs to be aired on the internet for god-knows-who to read it.

Put together the new DVD rack. I filled up the last one, so I had to get a new, bigger one. It's already half-full, with the stuff that I moved out...
