7560isshhh words. Handed in on Friday.
It was an epic moment, strangely I had Kylie's 'This Is It' stuck in my head when I was in the school office.
Miffed.
However. Songs of a Generation: How the Road Movie Soundtrack Maps the Use of Popular Music in Cinema, From 60s Nostalgia to the 90s MTV Aesthetic Is gone. It is out of my life and I shall not be able to watch Easy Rider, Radio On or Natural Born Killers for the next year or so. You can probably add in Thelma and Louise, Two Lane Blacktop and Vanishing Point in there for good measure.
Website is more or less finished. Hopefully have my 8 minute short up on youtube tomorrow (I failed miserably at getting video to work on drupal.. well not so much miserable failure as irrational anger towards the idea). May link it when it's finally up but I warn you now, it's boring. 8 one minute shots of a junction in Aberdeen. However I enjoyed my use of music. Little bit of Appleblim and Burial.
One essay to do my 12pm Friday, then it's pub and a general feeling of 'what next'?
I know I know, another dull post on university but straight up that is all I have been doing for the last 3 weeks (well that and having a bit of a Jason Statham obsession... by obsession I mean I bought 7 of his films... I am fully aware they should probably take my degree away from me).
I also got a shiny new macbook pro which is a complete dick of a machine and I am going to phone those people at applecare tomorrow to tell them it is a complete dick of a machine. What good is something that won't connect to the bastarding internet. Yes I could beat someone to death with it's beautiful stainless steel case but I cannot download while doing so.
Annywaaayyy
I'm off to watch Wenders 'The End Of Violence' for my final essay. 'Urban alienation and the panoptic'. I cannot lie, it's not the most interesting of topics. Needs must eh?
I hope your lives have been full of more excitement than mine.
