So here we are, 16 days into September. What a month so far. I started my fitness class the week of Labor Day. It's tough getting back into shape, but the results already are starting to show: I dropped 15 pounds after only a week of working out. That's down to 260 pounds from a starting point of 275. It's been showing, too: I'm gaining more energy bit by bit, and it feels great. The tough part is adapting to a commitment I made to live a more healthy life. It's difficult for me to eat more fruits and vegetables when I didn't have much of a palate for them, but man, the payoff in the end will be worth it. I need this for myself and my future.
Next Friday marks the start of my third season working for Hellscream Haunted House. It was a long summer just trying to get that built up, and I'm very excited that we have so much space to work with this year compared to the 2010 and 2011 seasons - we're indoors, have 17,000 square feet of room, have our own concession area and ticket stands, and have incorporated so many new things into the haunt. The bonus is that the owner finally let me work on the security team again, as last year it was a disaster with security in my own opinion.
Classes are going okay. I've been struggling to learn Spanish, and recently enlisted the aid of a few fluent speakers to better understand the language and pronunciation. Aside from that, there's not much else to really report on. Hasta luego, friends!
