Reading this new book called 'Flow.' Completely blown away. Found out about it through Dreamland Skatepark builder's website, whose employees use it in their design philosphy. Fucking cool.
Moments before departure on the beginning of what will be my longest adventure ever, I am sold a snowboard by a company called 'Flow' (160 bux, had to do it). Coincidence?
One of the highest things a skateboarder can achieve is to skate at a high level of difficulty and still flow. Chris Senn said it best: it's not about tricks, it's about how well you adapt your own skills to different environments. I will be leaving to snowboard in 3 completely different places in the U.S., and then Canada, until the season ends. My anticipation is simmering for the time when I return to my skateboard and begin the OZ/European leg of my travels. I love the way lessons learned on the snowboard bleed into my skating.
Hope to see you when I'm passing through. Viva la nomad! Long live Chappelles!
