So yeah, its been a while since I updated. Oops, sorry guys -- I didnt forget about any of you, it's just been busy, crazy, chaotic, trying, retarded, loathsome, disappointing, depressing, fun, interesting, heartbreaking and annoying all rolled into one. Did I mention confusing? Ugh.
Things to be worried / depressed / angry about pertaining to the madness that was this past week:
- My stepsister, who is pregnant, has been diagnosed with cervical cancer.
- My grandmother, who has breast / leg / bone cancer, and refuses chemotherapy, needs it. Her medication stopped working and her tumor is coming back.
- Had to go to the doctor's on Friday, as I woke up in the morning with my eye practically swollen shut. I hate going to the doctor, as mine is a complete drug dealer moron. He said to me "It looks like an allergic reaction" and handed me antihistamines. Thanks, asshole. Care to tell me what it is I might be allergic to? (A little history with the eye thing, a few years ago I had an abcess in my tear duct that rendered me hospitalized for 4 days, constant antibiotic IV drip, etc etc ... it was one of the most horrible experiences Ive ever had, so when my eye starts doin funny stuff I freak out)
- Had to bring my kitty Luna to the vet on Friday also, I noticed that one of her claws had overgrown and curled to the point where it was digging into one of her paw pads. Had her nails clipped, though, and she got her updated Dystemper shot. She has antibiotics for the infection / open wound, and all is well. I felt so bad, though ... Ill have to pay more close attention to her claw sharpening habits, since she is always loud and obnoxious. I can never tell if she's complaning or whining for attention, or just screaming to scream, or having a conversation with me. It all usually sounds the same. But, when they clipped that nail off and pulled it out of her pad bleeding, I almost cried. I felt soooooooooooo bad, I feel like such a negligent mother.
- My boss is a total fucking tool -- he sent me home early Friday because he was pissed at me for doing personal things on the computer while I was doing work for him on the computer anyway. He knows all this shit is going on, he knows my lease is up in May and I need to move, he knows I need a new car because mine isnt terribly highway safe, he knows I had my electricity shut off because my ex left me with a huge bill that I cant afford to pay, and what does he do? Sends me home cuz he's in a mood. Great, thanks Dave -- make my paycheck even SMALLER when you know most of my stress-related problems right now revolve around money, and not having enough of it. A-S-S-H-O-L-E !!
So yeah, I figure since he needs me more than I need him, Ill call him in the morning and scare the shit out of him, ask him if I still have a job, and maybe tell him that I got a job offer elsewhere for more mkoney and listen to him squirm for a while. And considering Ive been there for nearly 2 years without ONE decent raise in pay, maybe I'll at least get that. Im not holding my breath, but it would be nice.
- My aunt and my grandmother on my mtoher's side were visiting for the weekend and I had already had plans to do things, so I didn't get a chance to go see them. My aunt is from CA so she doesnt come out very often, but my grandmother lives in MA. I was informed by my sister that they're both upset for not coming to see them, but I never get anything but shit when I do anyway. You know how that goes, what are you doing with your life? Why is your hair that color? Why do you ruin your body? Why dont you go back to school? Did your boss give you a raise yet? Why cant you be more like your sister? Ugh. No thanks. And furthermore, the car I own and drive now, my grandmother bought for me after I cracked up my Ford. She doesnt know that I got into an accident with the Celica, and she would probably be heartbroken if she did know. So not only would I have to put up with them, but I would have had to like park my car out of their plain view. No thanks. Yay family.
In any case, there are good things to make up for all the badness that ensued this week. Flux was much much fun, as always. Nurse_Mengele and I acquired a new go-go dancing partner on top of the speakers, TheRetronerd -- sexy girl, you can come up and dance with us anytime!!
It was also good to see the new faces, Liv and her friend -- though it looked like you two didn't quite feel in place, I hope youll give us crazy freaks another chance and come out again!! Buddha was also missed, but we will make up for it this coming week with twice as many shots and double the dancefloor time, don't think Ive forgotten that you need to learnt he stompy dance and the capture the bat dance and get out on the floor and DANCE! And FINALLY good pictures were taken of Aeryn and my new tattoo by the mighty mighty King_of_Skulls -- you totally rawk the camera, baybee!
In addition, much fun was had Friday night when King_of_Skulls and I went to see the remake of Dawn of the Dead with Nurse_Mengele, Spike, Tim, Jayde, Dan, Shannon, Phred, Phil, Bill, Danielle, and .... probably others too, I can't remember right now, but there was a huge black-clad group of us there .... and the movie kicked major zombie, bleeding chainsaw, fiery explosion ass!! If yer into the gore then GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!! The festivities after the movie included going to Jayde's house and hanging out, which was also much fun.
Saturday was the trip to Long Island to see Earl's Court with Nurse_Mengele, Erik and Tim to celebrate Aeryn's (and Johnny's belated) birthday. Aeryn posted the pictures, and I had as good a time as was humanly possible. The feeling wasn't right on a few things, but it can be recitified next time, most definitely. It just goes to show you the importance of being superstitious of keeping tradition, and thats exactly whats gonna happen next time.
Today consisted of recovery mostly, since we didnt roll into the state, home and into bed until like 7AM. It's amazing how time flies when yer sitting on your ass doing nothing.
I hope everyone's weekend was as eventful and enjoyable, and hope everyone's doing well. I second KoS's motion to organizing a movie night of sorts, it would be much much fun to get together and do things ... especially when summer rolls around, who's up for field trips to Devil's Hopyard or Valley Falls or Salem, MA or Boston Six Flags or whatforth ? I'm all about road trips, as you have plainly seen.
As for movie quote day, I have had a few in my head for today, enjoy:
> " ... childhood's over the moment you know you're gonna die." - Top Dollar "The Crow"
" Little things meant so much to Shelly, I used to think they were sort of trivial. Believe me, nothing is trivial." - Eric Draven "The Crow"
"Do I look like someone who cares what God thinks?" - Pinhead "Hellraiser (fuck, I cant remember which one LOL)"
Yeah, I had more .... but, my brain fell out. It's hiding behind Todd's mixer still, if Aeryn's brain hasn't already eaten it yet. Time to go lay down.
Much love to everyone!!! I'll hit up everyone's journal when I get the chance, I hope this week isn't as horribly chaotic as this past one was. Never a dull moment, I swear
sent everyone's way!!!!
