First: you are loved. It may not be me, but someone loves you, and very well may depend on you. Also, don't be afraid to love. Respect boundaries, of course, but you have to love yourself before you can really love anyone else.
Second: you are strong. We never know how strong we are till we have to be strong, but you are everything you need to survive this world. If you don't feel strong enough, learn to be stronger. Also, showing emotion is not weakness. The more you know yourself, and accept yourself, the stronger you'll become.
Third: never stop getting better. We are constantly changing into new versions of ourselves. Better choices equal a better you. Push yourself to be better than you were yesterday; push yourself to be better than you were 10 mins ago. Ultimately, become someone your younger self would look up to.
Fourth: never stop learning. We really never stop learning, but we tend to ignore a lot of what's around us to learn. The moment you believe you know everything is actually the moment you know nothing. Whether you're right or you're wrong, there is still something to learn. Never be afraid to ask a question, because curiosity is the mother of all knowledge.
Fifth: maybe the most important, but you are a masterpiece of creation/evolution. You're canvass is ever-changing, and there will be people who don't like what they see. Show your true self, always, and you'll never have to wonder if people like who you really are, or if they only like what you show.
Which leads me to..
Sixth: people will come and go, in your life. The only person that will be there 24/7/365.25 is you. So choose people to be in your life, that are going to help you be the best version of yourself. You will get along with a lot of people, but very few will be able to make you feel comfortable in your own skin while still pushing you to be something more.
Which leads me to..
Seventh: develop your own creed. Religion can be a great foundation, but true faith doesn't need religion to exist. Find out what morals and values mean the most to you and build on them. You'll find that all the core morals and values exist in pretty much all the recognized religions, so how you feel about them isn't exclusive to only one. Strengthen your faith and it will help lead you where you need to go.
Eighth: fear exists. Courage is not the lack of fear, but, the knowledge that there is something more important than fear. Fear helps us to survive, and if you can learn to utilize it, it will help you to thrive. Fear helps us to see the bad choices ahead of us and the bad decisions behind us. It, among many other things, will aid you on your path in life.
Ninth: "do no harm, but take no shit." We are all trying to live in this world; why try to hinder someone else? Help others and you'll help yourself. But just because you're nice, that doesn't mean you should be a door mat. If someone is making you feel like less than you know you are, evaluate the situation, and if need be, defend yourself. Whether you decide to prove them wrong, or you just simply speak out, you have just as much right to be here as they do.
And I guess finally..
Tenth: time is short. Unless there is some catastrophic event, this planet will be here longer than you've been self-aware, in this body. Use the above to help you make the most of the time you have in this existence, and do what you can to make this planet better than when you got here. It's not just the living that need our care, because everything here is needed, in some way, for us to exist the way we do.
