I'm on my way to Seattle for Emerald City Comic Con. This will be my third year there and I'm really jacked for this years show. I really enjoy how much this con still focuses on comics and really seems to foster the comics community and industry.
This will be a really interesting year for me since I'm alot more prepared and have some great comic projects to talk about this year, but that said I've also really shifted the focus of my career and life this year. I've decided to focus on creating art I want to create and creating a mark for myself in this world. I'm no longer going to be hunting down work for hire. Instead I'll be creating projects that interest me and creating opportunities with those for my career. This means I'll be approaching this con way different than any other I've done before. I'm working to build my brand not fighting to work for someone else's brand.
It's an interesting time and I'm boiling over with creativity and excitement. My next big project is really cool. It's actually quite influenced by my time spent here. So if you're a fan of SG (which I'm assuming you are if you're reading this otherwise this is a very peculiar situation) and especially if you're a fan of my work here then keep your eyes peeled
Alrighty then i should pprobably socialize with my friends instead of staring at my phone right now! I'll keep you updated throughout the con. And if you're in ECCC or Seattle yourself and see an odd looking fellow walking around in a cowboy hat feel free to say hi to me
Later homeslices!
