well that was fun....
yesterday i decided to GP shift my bike and all went well, all i had to buy was a socket and a new c clip. got it done, shift lever adjusted just about perfect and i went riding. 7 o'clock comes and im getting on the highway, in 4th gear about to shift to 5th when.....my shift lever goes MIA. i look down and its dangling there, the fucking c clip somehow worked its way off. FUCK. i got to ride home with my shift lever pinned between the side of my shoe and the pivot.

thanks for the compliments. yeah, that's a thruxton. It's a lot of fun, but it's slow as molasses even with a lot of of upgrades. I bought a wrecked bonnie for the spare motor, eventually it'll get a stroked crank & larger bore & be somewhere between 980cc and 1200cc. Still probably won't be as fast as those sportclassics. Actual speed being equal it's funner to be wringing a slow bike's neck than to be half throttle on a fast bike, that's my opinion
