So Wednesday night I went out and had some drinks with some friends. I guess good times were had, though all of the drinks I ended up having were pretty mediocre if not downright bad. Friends always take me to these bars they say are great and all this other junk, but I'm starting to think it's the way some people are about food, in that they think these things are good because they've never had anything better? If that makes sense. Okay, so Portland is this great place with an awesome nightlife and all that, except decent bartenders seem to be in short supply. Or maybe I'm just not going to the right places. What does it say about this town that the best drink I've had mixed locally was served to me by an incredibly hot bartender chick at a Goth nightclub?
So that was Wednesday through Thursday morning. I ditched out on people so I could get home, since I was supposed to be having company over and doing a lunch... thing, whatever, but they ended up skipping out on me, which was kind of lame, since I bought a bunch of stuff, most of which will probably go to waste now. But ah well. By now you'd think I'd know better (insert comment about the definition of insanity here). These last couple of days I've been trying to get my life back to some semblance of what it was, which in turn is I think maybe causing me to disappoint at least one person, unfortunately, but I just can't sit here doing nothing for very much longer.
I bought an external case for my old hard drive, finally, and was going through the old pictures I had on there. Made me really nostalgic for the old days of Teh Paper, and the whole gang. I miss those times, especially when I look at all the pictures from the beach retreats. Damn, good times...
