I'm back after a long hiatus. Major positive cash flow resulting in me being able to pretty much do whatever the hell I want.
While walking around Gainesville, I grabbed a coffee, and wandered around this little atrium. A little frame shop had dozens of framed photos by John Moran, a local wildlife photographer, and editing photographer of the Gainesville Sun as I later discovered.
Something struck me about his work. Then i realized why I liked it so much...It looked alot like mine. More refined, more professional, but the subject matter was similar, composition had the same thematic qualities, only his work showed a more elegant use of light which, to me, shows his dicipline as a photogapher. Waiting patiently for the late day, or early morning sun to reach that perfect angle, igniting the subject matter, in the hot muggy, buggy florida clime.
Anyway, check out his stuff, very basic, but very great photography. If you like films byRon Fricke
like Baraka, and Koyaanisqatsi, you should appreciate his work.

I can see why you miss ATL - there seems to be so much to do there!
We planted a garden in the vestibule, and whoever took over the space kept the garden. That made me very happy.
