well, i suppose its time to come out of hiding again. its been quite awhile. i'd like to give a highly belated 'thanks' to those who wished me well on my bday.
hmm..where to begin beyond that..
i started off by meeting some friends from Columbus, OH at Red River Gorge in KY for like two days of camping, backpacking, and climbing. from there i went to Bonnaroo, which wasn't as much fun as it was the previous year, and it rained..alot. but i did see some good music such as Wilco, Bob Dylan, Ani DiFranco, Jem, Damien Rice, Antigone Rising, David Byrne, and The Dead.
I decided that i wanted to be a tourist for a day and checked out two local spots in Chattanooga: Ruby Falls, and Rock City. Both were interesting to visit, but the coolest was getting lost on my way back to the interstate. I was hungry, and saw this little place called 'Mojo Burrito', the food was really good, but upon leaving i saw a sign (that i hadn't noticed befor) for indoor climbing across the street, soo i wandered over to investigate. The guys at the climbing place were strait up the coolest; they showed me places to climb outdoors, and let me campout, in my car, in their parking lot without worry of cops. I stayed in Chattanooga for 3-4 days before heading to an indoor vertical wind tunnel in Pidgeon Forge. I didn't stay in Pidgeon Forge, but did campout in the smokeys and then in a parking lot on a Cherokee Indian reservation on the border of TN & NC. Visited a coupla sites and the museum which were really cool, on the reservation before, continuing my beline drive to FL. In FL i lived on the dropzone at DeLand for about a week. Made some skydives, meet some nice people, moved on. Stopped in at the wind tunnel in Orlando. After what seemed like forever i finally got through Miami and down to Homestead, where the Coral Castle is located, and note that its about a half hour or less driving to get to the keys...its in the middle of nowhere southern most point of florida mainland...anywho, the castle itself was very cool to look at and explore till a group of young school kids arrived annd i left..quickly, but not before grabbing some books/pamphlets about the construction of the place. ...and at this point yawf is shaking her fist at me going 'where the hell are the pictures!?', welll hmmm...my reply is thus- still on the roll which needs be developed...soo i'm a little lazy and poor, meh whats new. The last place i stayed before heading back home was at another dropzone in Zephyrhills, FL. I stayed and campedout for almost two weeks, made some skydives, and meet alot of kickass people there.
Since returning to the greater cincy area, i've mostly been working by packing parachutes at the dropzone in Richmond, IN. I go to music shows when i can remember about them and/or sober enough to drive to cincy. I've been meaning to go climbing and/or camping but neither seems to come to fruition.
yes, well then, that took alot of energy to get thoughts onto paper(or typed out if you want to be specific, either way its the same) and so i end here.
