Well, I started classes again. I fell asleep in Microeconomics today, a fact which Prof. Kamp was eager to sieze upon during class today.
I'm tired and sick, and I managed to anger one of my semi-bosses at work today, who went and complained to a manager. I guess I won't get a perminant position after all. Maybe I'll go talk to her later, not because I want the job, but because I actually like and admire her (even envy a little), and it bothers me that she is angry.
The whole problem with her, I think upon reflection, relates to the fact that I like to know the whole picture and my place in it, and she likes to just tell me what to do. I think it's one of those things they teach you in managing school. It's something I need to work on too: showing people their place in a system instead of simply asking them to do tasks. The other thing I need to work on is just taking orders and doing what I'm told instead of suggesting a better way to do things.
She may also be threatened by me, or maybe just insulted by me. She always says I treat her like she is stupid, and "talk down" to her. I do that to people a lot, and it is a general behavior. I need to work on that too.
Oh well.
I haven't slept a full eight hours in a few days, and my full schedual is taking its toll. I need to sleep.
I like my new Econometrics II professor, Dr. DeSimone. Check out his webpage.
I also have Lowey, again. He's ok, but I always fall asleep in his classes.
Oh, well.
Class is about to end, so I am going to stop writing.

Anyway, don't get too discouraged if a hoard of folks jump on you. There's a lot of unexamined opinions here that get expressed as fact. Especially in the guise of a reductio ad absurdum arguments.
