Ok, so Dancing with the Stars last night was amazing! The best episode yet. And the competition is so tight too.
So I finished reading the Twilight series over the weekend. And before you non-fans role your eyes I have to say it was much better than I had anticipated. I have friends in the mid to late 20's that are obsessed with these books and the movie. I didn't understand how adults could get so obsessed with a book for teenagers. I figured that I couldn't really have an opinion on this matter if I didn't read the books. So now I understand a few things like the whole Team Edward or Team Jacob thing. If I had to label myself I'm definitely Team Edward. And I can see the attraction to this vampire love story but I still don't get the obsession of it. And when I read it, when looking at the book for what it is, a story for teenagers it was pretty good. I don't by any means view it as something that will become classic literature. But I could be wrong.
And I'll admit that my inner romantic did thoroughly enjoy the love story of it. And maybe it's because when I started this series I was mending a bruised heart, but I'd totally date a vampire. To have someone that craves your blood so much and to fight that craving because they love you and they'd rather suffer through the pain than cause you any is so sweet to me. Ok, so I know having my hurt bruised has a lot to do with it. To have someone want you in general would tug at my heart strings. Anyways, I have a few things kinda bothered me and I would have done differently. I am able to over look them. It's just a fictional story after all. I did think it ended perfectly.
I'll leave you with a part of one of my favorite quotes:
"So what you're saying is, I'm your brand of heroin?"
Bella Swan, Twilight, Chapter 13, p.267
"Yes, you are exactly my brand of heroin."
Edward Cullen, Twilight, Chapter 13, p.268
I kinda want to be someone's brand of heroin

I was actually a bit disappointed with the freestyle dances especially when comparing them to some of past freestyle performances
ie. Drew Lachey (sp?) and Helio (I'm not even going to try his last name haha)
Shawn's was very fast paced and I know the freestyle is supposed to include tricks but I feel her dance had too many although they said they were going to shy away from them
and Gilles dance, I was disappointed because I know he can do so much better
although executed well it definitely lacked something
I thought Melissa's had the best mix of dance and tricks but I do agree it didn't flow together
as well as Shawn's
I do agree it is a very close race though
I'm excited to see how it all pans out
BUT So You Think You Can Dance just started last night
and I'm am super stoked!
A completely different type of dance show but I like it way better
for sure!
Last night was just the first episode of auditions and I'm already blown away by the talent
