Gotta find some more time to pour some thoughts of worth in these journals. Swamped in reviews...

All I gotta say right now is that it's great to have a horror movie to see week after week in the theater.

'Nother week passes. Not much to blab about at the moment, just wanted to brush last week's editorial off. Currently wrapped up in a Nip/Tuck DVD marathon laughing about the dramatic similarities taking place in that show's first season and my own life - sans the fact that I'm not a surgeon or live in Miami. It's just some of the other shit going on...

Ugh.

That's all I really have much strength to say these days. Confusion abounds, as always, in my life at the moment. I'd be lying if I didn't say it involved women. When I was in college going through rough times a film geek pal of mine always said that, "Cinema never breaks your heart, go watch some movies." (Um, thanks, buddy.) Don't know why...

Holy hell. 'Nother convention in Jersey. 'Nother weekend of surreal experiences (usually involving Guiness and horror icons). Back in the crypt now, bought a television for the first time since my life took an interesting turn...now I can catch up on this pile o' DVDs waiting for my review.

Oh, and let me just say that I love receiving passive aggressive e-mails from directors pissed...

TBS is now into its 50th (well, it feels like it) showing of a Christmas Story and I can't tear my eyes away from its nostalgic power. Been waiting for a phone call that has never come, so Christmas, like every other day of this bloody year will be a normal one. Got a screening of Black Christmas on my "things to do" list along...

Own Black Christmas? Doll, I've got two copies. (How's that for geekdom?) No fault but my own though, can't decide which version to give away, so I held onto both. One is widescreen, the other's not. Makes a difference, actually.
jovanka:
Hurt? What hurt?

Keep the widescreen Black Christmas.

Been feeling a bit like David Kessler from An American Werewolf in London lately. Stuck in an apartment that's not mine, in a city I'm alone in. Wandering the room wondering what the hell to do to pass the time. Full of confusion. Regret. Wanting things to be as they once were without all this complication.

Might as well do some writing...vent on this semi-bad...

I came across a comment you made on the horror movie group discussion board -

You are one of the only people I have ever come across who has seen Black Christmas. I try to tell people about this movie and they stare at me like I am insane.

Just wanted to say hi.
rrotten:
Funny that ya mention it (well, again) because I just broke it out to watch tonight...or at some point tomorrow.

Hands-down that flick is one of the creepiest fuckin' things I've seen (and heard). I try to get others to check it out as much as possible.
