another travel entry (is that all i write about?) yes, possibly. am i writing answers to my own questions? it would appear so. hmm at least you seem to write about food as well this time. are you skipping ahead. no, im psychic. uh huh. whatever.
i went to scenic Mystic, Connecticut this weekend. my friend J and his wife and 2 kids and i all got in the car and headed south. the day was quite lovely as we started it out right: with breakfast at Krispy Kreme.
yum, yum, gimme some! like an angel died on your tongue. there's nothing like the warm, moist, sugary lardball as it just comes off the conveyor belt. my mouth fell in love with me all over again.
so then it was off to the famous Mystic Aquarium. they gots all kinds of fishy pals for you to gawk at. whales, and seals, and donkeys, and sea lions (ok, not really donkeys).
the day was nice and fun was had by all.
thoughtful, dopey, big-hearted me even found time to buy one of those souvenir squashed, elongated pennies for a friend at work that collects them (think thatll buy me any points???) me neither.
after the Aquarium it was off to eat. while in Mystic and feeling a bit peckish, where do you go? well, Mystic Pizza of course, you big silly! any restaurant that has a Julia Roberts film behind it cant be bad. and you know, the pizza really wasnt too bad. the crust was buttery and at that stage in-between thin and thick. just right.
then it was back to Providence and time to finish painting my plum bathroom. so that was my big adventure. what else is there to do of similar ilk? i love doing the cheesy things sooo much. are there big balls of twine around here that i can have my picture taken with????
