The other day, I noticed that Hy-vee was doing a make your own six-pack thing, so I decided to expand my knowledge of beer styles. Last night, I tried the Sam Adam's honey porter which was quite tasty. I also tried Woodchuck draft cider which was good, but upset my stomach. Anyway, right now I am sipping on some Sam Adam's Boston Lager and I am surprised to say that I don't like it. It seems like I really like ales, but every time I try a lager I don't like it. Anyone else have an ale over lager preference?
In other news, I figured out how to amplify my acoustic guitar with a 3 dollar piezo element from Radio Shack. I just soldered a wire on to it, soldered it to a jack, and glued it to the back of the bridge plate. Then, I drilled a hole in the side of the guitar for the jack. It works well, sounds natural, and has almost no noise to it. It's surprising because to buy a piezo pickup and have it installed by someone usually costs more than 100 bucks. I guess I am the DIY king when it comes to guitars Here's a page I found by someone who did something similar to what I did, if my description is confusing.

Thank you.
