The vastness of the grin
Is an illusion
My mind feeds upon itself
As I wear a paper smile
Don’t let the tears destroy it
Why do I need happy
I never receive it back
I wear the paper smile
To hide my imperfections
Tears flowing like Niagara Falls
Tearing on my paper smile
The world will never know
If I just keep the paper smile
It falls apart as I hit the shadows
Why is my happiness
Just a shroud
Where is mine.
I can feel the sinister
Coming out as the paper smile fades
In the shadow the demons play
They hide no more
I was lied to said if I do good
Good will happen to me
Here I stand with the paper smile in hand
As it falls to pieces
