Ok...what's new....
Had two quizzes today. One in French (think I did alright in) and one in American Political Thought (I believe I Aced that one, we'll have to wait and see)
After class I tried picking my professor's brain about some stuff in class. Mainly how he never mentioned Locke even though his definition of liberalism had Locke all over it, and how Paine would have definately been against the Quebec Act of 1774. (There was a big discussion about it in class, but since he had only mentioned one aspect of the act, I don't really think people knew what they were saying..)
The guy is very defensive. Keeps a lot of his ideas walled up. He seemed to keep dancing about my questions and saying the same thing over and over again. Kinda got the feeling he just wanted to be left alone or something. Seems weird to me, considering he's a political scientist. I would think he'd be up for a debate over political theory. Or atleast chime in a little more. Maybe it's because I'm a student, maybe he feels he has to keep a certain distance between himself and I. Not sure really. I was really just trying to be friendly, and run a few ideas by him. Oh well.
I ordered his book, so I'll give it a good once over when it arrives. See if that gets a rise out of him.
Other then that, it's been another average day.
Guess I should get going, one of my cats is talking to me. Later!
