I would use local "client kings" to run other countries, as I do not know the issues outside the US. After installing my own expert cabinet, including @strongbhoy as Extraordinary Secretary of Sports and Making Sure We Get the Fight We Want When We Want It (and for scarring away people I do not want to talk to), bringing back @starfuck for more sets, forcing Mark Cuban and Danial Snyder to purchase Celtic and buy a European Championship, and finding a nice girl to marry who would be faithful to me, I would....
Install Taylor Swift as Empress. She would be the face of the government. That is all. She would do what she does now; engage in Twitter wars and watch Law and Order and be disappointed by men when she finds they are not 100% perfect.
To policy. There is no political issue in the US I cannot solve. Most issues should be sent to the localities, as they are closer to the people and more responsive to the people.
1. Tax policy. First, I implement an across the board 15% tax cut for most tax payers. I also eliminate the death tax and the capital gains tax. I no longer need an employment platform, as I have just reached full employment by those tax issues, and am increasing revenue.
I said most tax payers. I am increasing taxes on the super rich. I am not talking about the CEOs who earn $250,000, and millions in options. They have to increase shareholder value, and therefore increase national wealth, by making those options valuable. I am talking about the people who make $2,000,000 a year, plus, in cash. Athletes and entertainers. They really produce nothing, so they can help society by paying 40% taxes, minimum. The more they make, the more taxes Obama's core constitutes pay.
I am not done with them. A 10% excise tax on every ticket, movies or sports.
Next, certain states without income taxes, such as Texas, support certain states with income taxes, such as California and New York. This is unfair. If you live in a state with a state income tax, you cannot withhold that from your federal income tax. You have to pay your full federal income tax. If you end up with a toal 75% tax rate, that is your own fault. Go bankrupt, of vote for state representatives who will cut your taxes.
Wow. That feels good.
2. Health Care policy. Full health care, if you want it. Let us use round numbers. Say, for a family of four, a solid heath care program costs $5,000. Buy your health care, and write it off on your taxes. If you want to buy a $7,000 policy, you can write off $5,000, and pay the $2,000 yourself. If you hare happy with a $4,000, take it, but you will not get a grant for the additional $1,000. Use it or lose it. If you do not want it, you do not need to have it. I am not about force. I am not Obama.
Cap liability payments. I just slashed heath care costs right there.
You might think this sounds expensive, but you are wrong. Remember, I have full employment. In that situation, most workers will have more than one company out there. To compete, a company will probably offer better health care than could be purchased without tax payer cost
Of course, a few people might fall through, and if they are in desperate need for medical care, if they will die without it, they would also have the health care costs taken care of. Now, if yiu jusg chose not to take care of free health care, tough. There will still be people who need it. So Medicare and Medicaid should be expanded, and simplified so that medics would not need to spend much time at all on it. All hospitals should accept it, and would, if it were simplified.
Expensive? No. Remember, I have full employment and increased revenues.
So easy, when you use freedom and common sense. Pity we have a president who despises both.
Now, I am starting to roll!
3. Energy policy. Thank God for fracking! Texas was about to build coal plants, before people figured out we could extract clean burning natural gas. Methane is also clean burning.
Coal is a difficult issue. It is not a Republican or Democrat issue. A number of very powerful people have hitched their wagons to coal. We have to move beyond coal.
Wind and solar are fantasies at this point. Not so big a fantasy as clean coal.
The only stop gap possible is nuclear power. While it is expensive to bring on line, the power after that is very inexpensive. It is very safe. The two biggest users of nuclear power, France and the US Navy, have never had a major problem. We do not build reactors like one in Chernobyl. Nor on three mile island, the technology has advanced amazingly quickly. Japan teaches us a lesson, cooling must be active, passive, and, perhaps, gravitational. A water tower.
It does not hart the environment, such as the wind and solar farms that lay waste to the land. Plus, we really have no other choice.
For now. Wind and solar power technology are also advancing rapidly. Maybe, by the time we just have got it ready to go wind and solar, some guy in the corner steps forward. "Dudes. Check this out. Cold fusion."
We will get one. Probably all three. When we have limitless and super reliable energy from one of these sources, we can disassemble the gas turbines and nuclear reactors. They are just temporary.
The other difficulty is other nations. For instance, China and India use a lot of coal, because that is what they have. Share solar and wind technology with them. I have no doubt the good people of India would enthusiastically switch. As for Red China, I have my doubts.
There are many other issues, of course. Dismantled the public education system, which has failed. Ending the social control system we call Welfare. Water in the west. In a nation of clever people that can feed the world, how in the name of Adam Smith, can we not feed our own people?
Freedom and common sense, fiends. Freedom and common sense can solve all of these.
Who knows? Maybe it is time to dust these ideas off, and get the fuck to work.
