So, I went running tonight. I had a lot to do today so I didn't get my opportunity to go running til almost 10PM. Given that I am not in the best neighborhood, or town for that matter, I took my overweight Rott/Husky mix running buddy with me. She was all excited about the jog until about a 1/2 a mile into it. She started to drag behind, so I slowed it down to a very light jog, but stil too much for her. I guess even with dogs, you have to work them up into a regular running routine before you can go long distance with them. I got to get her back into shape. My mom has spoiled her too much; her belly almost touches the floor when she is sitting upright! She just turned five and she is my favorite dog, so I want her to be healthy. We are now going to go on a regular jogging and walking routine! I will bring plenty of water and keep an eye on her to make sure that she is not going beyond her limits.
I have decided to change my major. Although I have done well in school, I'm not sure that nursing is for me. I love science, but after several recent visits to doctor's offices and ER's and watching patients' behavior and considering my long time experience in customer-service related jobs, I honestly think that eventually I would just be miserable in the nursing field. I am now looking in the engineering field and am excited about taking math and physics courses! I was actually disappointed when I tested out of having to take any math courses as requirement for my nursing degree.

I think either major would be ideal, but I believe with today's technology, School of Engineering might be a wise choice.
Good luck with your running exercise and your dog.
