As summer grows closer and closer, an intensity builds in the world around us: brighter, more direct sunlight, the energy of the people bustling about on the street corners, and the energy that comes from lots of people feeling activated and alert at the same time.

In other news, I am feeling a lot better than I was at the start of this week. When I start worrying about one thing (e.g. my metric shit-tonne of schoolwork), I start worrying about everything, leading to major freak-outs. But now I feel better! If only that schoolwork would go away...

I guarantee I've had dumber injuries but i can't think of any off the top of my head. I mean i've repeatedly injured my hands punching walls... I somehow broke my toe walking up the steps of my house (the same steps i've walked up almost every day of my entier life)... Not too long ago at work (Domino's Pizza) some brownies came out of the oven and, after boxing them, i proceeded to pick up the hot pan, fresh out of the oven, with my bare hand...
