Yesterday, I found the following note taped to the door of my dorm room:
...Hello Neighbor
I live under you.
I meant to mention this to you a while ago.
I can hear you walking, even when you get up to go to the bathroom at 4:00 am.
I suppose you are a heavy walker.
I am a light sleeper.
May I suggest you wear rubber flip flops or some type of rubber slipper to absorb some of the pressure, and deafen the sound?
Thank you. It would help me not hear you when you are up and around, especially at night and early in the morning.
I go to bed early because I have to be to work at 6:00 every week day
And, I love to sleep later on Saturday morning (only day I do not have to get up early).
Thank you for being appreciative and cooperative...
So, I'm trying to figure out my next course of action. Although my building is populated mostly by single twenty-something USAF officers, it's extremely quiet. My impression is that sound doesn't travel well between the rooms. As I weigh 145 pounds and am usually barefoot at home, it boggles my mind that my walking could provoke this sort of reaction. I do come in at 3 or 4 am on the occasional Friday or Saturday night, but I don't think I'm that noisy. I suspect this person is unusually sensitive. Would it be rude for me to suggest that she try earplugs? Any suggestions?

Elephant. Good movie, I thought, although I can see why some won't like it. It's really understated, and lets you do all of the thinking yourself. Also, the use of the hallway in MANY shots was really effective.

you call in a bomb threat then run into his room and leave a bloody knife stuck in his bed then he will want to move out. problem solved
