Today was interesting. Started off the day replacing the seat and seals for the hot water handle in the shower, then went through the garage trying to make space for more junk in an effort to get the living room cleaned out so human beings can assemble there, then eyed the seedlings and the growing plants with mucho satisfaction, then went to Out of the Closet and found a vg 1st edition of Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" in a non-price-clipped dust jacket for ... one dollar. Got home and checked it out on ABE Books only to find its value is somewhere between 350-500 bucks or so (if it was for sale and if I could find a buyer) - but I knew the minute I saw it that it wasn't gonna be valueless - I had mentally hunched it at around one hundred -- if I could only move books I might be able to almost survive in this fucked up economy - actually, I do occasionally move books here: Sushidog Books but really I'm a hoarder so I almost never put books up and never update - 'cause motivation is my number one procrastination tool. In other news, I might finally get paid for a bunch of QC work I did on some television shows and I have meetings galore with people about financing my various projects. Oh, and I heard some other very good news about something private - kind of relaxes me more than a couple glasses of good vino would -- it ain't easy being a dad. Oh, yeah, even though we're supposedly gonna pass the law in November, I'm gonna renew my medical marijuana card so I can get a couple of legal plants growing, seeing as how I'm already in the garden cultivating and babying the little fuckers an hour a day already...

whoa, that looked terrible but intriguing at the same time. My stomach is confused.
