I'm on a tear(two journal entries in consecutive days)!

Another day away from work is another day in paradise I say.

My pretty lady is comming up for the weekend and my sis is in town so, I'm happy.

God. I sometimes bore myself to death. There are only so many films to see, so much music to listen to and so many books to...

God I miss San Francisco. In my journal I was talking about running to the top of Mt Tam. I miss my little town so much (Mill Valley)

no work today-not feeling well-yeah for the salaried life!

I'm bored and seeing as a few of my friends have deactivated themselves, I'm in search of new friends-any recommendations? I'm a loyal friend, but sometimes spotty, but rest assured, I do read your journal entries!

Ever get the feeling that you are confident about all the wrong things in your life? Ever the boy scout,...

Hello,

Writing is such a slow and deliberate process for me-perhaps that why I love to read so much(just lazy I suppose). When I was younger, I wrote prodigiously and recklously about my life-perhaps because I knew no one would ever read my words, but these days it's quite easy to publicize your secrets isn't it? I'm afraid my shyness will never dissipate no matter...

Hello again.

I should have stayed away and gone to do something else but I said fuck it so I could write this because it's like therapy to me sometimes. I am bored, tired and a little hungry.

Contemplating a life of a Henry Darger type existence is not appealing in the least bit to me these days. I don't want to be forgotten-to be...

Hello.

I'm sorry that I've been away for such a long time, but
life was getting the worst of me, so I needed to check out for
a bit.

Thank you all for your well wishes on my birthday.

I hope everyone is well these days.
ampersand:
Hullo! Just when I think you're about to drop off, you come bounding back

I hope all is well (or at least ok) with you and yours.

Hullo?

Wanna share a good laugh with a dying man? Love, thy
name is Jameson's. This is what life is like in the hinterland
of San Francisco known as the Sunset(many thanks to phoenix1030 for his relo advice to the East Bay, but in the end I just couldn't deal with the bridge traffic).

Sorry for being away for such a very long time; I...

At home today, so no work cough, cough. wink

What's new?

This is a nerve wracking time for me. I don't know how long
I'll remain in SF. I do love it, but when my contract is up with my shit job, anything and everything will be up for grabs. I've looked into some jobs in L.A. puke with some pretty big names(WB, 20th Century Fox, NBC),...

all of those areas are great. my least favorite af all of them would have to be Piedmont. Too many uppity rich fucks, plus there is nothing to do. Piedmont ave. is O.K. though. Close to Berkeley and downtown Oakland.

Berkeley Hills are the shit. Could be pricey, but you could get lucky and find a guest house for cheap. Same thing for North Berkeley.

Rockridge would probably be my favorite and most recommended. BART is right there, lots of bars, grocery stores, cafes etc. Berkeley very close, and Oakland is very close. People are cool around there as well.

Lake Merritt is cool too. I lived two bl0cks from there for about 5-6 years. That could be pricey there too. There are lots of apartments around there. Chinatown is very close as well as Alameda. Freeways are accesible also.

Emeryville would also be cool. Fairly industrial, close to the water, (Bay Bridge), it is just at the west end of Berkeley. I don't think there is a whole lot of housing here. Like I said, fairly industrial. Lofts more than likeley.

So, I would stick with Berkeley on the whole, Rockridge, Lake Merritt areas. If you need me to expand on any particular area just shoot me a line and I'll tell ya what I know.

Peace.

hey dude have you made any progress on your possible move from where you're at to where ya wanna go yet? keep me posted.

peace.

o.k. i'm extremely bored right now so i might as well post a journal entry. ready?

here is a bleak passage from my favorite writer, F. Scott Fitzgerald, on the pain of growing older from The Beautiful and Damned:

"I reached maturity under the impression that I was gathering the experience to order my life for happiness. Indeed, I accomplished the not unusual feat of...

thanks! I'm feeling okay. I get tired really easily, but not feeling too sore... tonight I felt yucky for the first time since I got to Texas (well, the day I arrived sucked, but since Saturday at least)

Yeah, home from work finally!

Why does working at my job have to be such an emasculating experience? A brighter and obviously saner person would have given the big fuck you to the bastards at WS long ago, but I have this silly little thing called pride which forces me to honor a promise I made to someone there to stay for two whole fucking...

but did you wear them to high school?

Even if your work life isn't what you want, I'm awfully glad to hear that love is in your life. biggrin
ampersand:
I'm really glad to hear you and the ex could work it out. I would like very much to not be alone anymore, but alas I think geting back with my ex is not an option.

I don't think her boyfriend would like it.

Try not to let work get you down. I know it can be really hard sometimes. It would be nice to have a job that isn't completely soul destroying. Do they even exist?

With my most sincere apologies to Lord Byron, I think his words best express my feelings about the horror and devestation caused by the tsunami:

Every feeling hath been shaken;
Pride, which not a world could bow,
Bows to thee-by thee forsaken,
Even my soul forsakes me now;

But 'tis done-all words are idle;
Words from me are vainer still;
But the thoughts we cannot...

i think i was living in London when i wrote that poem. 21 years old, living alone in a foreign country, challenging myself...and thinking of some that i left behind, that would never dare do anything too hard emotionally or financially, like move across the atlantic to fare for themselves...those whom never left my home town and just stay somewhere comfortable and known...i'll find something more happy next time
