Are you superstitious? Which superstitions do you believe in?
**I chose an older topic for this weeks @bloghomework
I wouldn't necessarily define myself as superstitious, however there are superstitions that I do catch myself summoning to.
- Spilling salt. Any time I spill salt I thrown the discarded grains behind my left shoulder to prevent bad luck. (As a server I spill salt more often than you'd think)
- No sewing on Sundays. Not too sure why not, probably bad luck. It was always something my great grandma said.
- Don't do laundry on New Year's Day. You're whole year will be shit.
- Finding a heads-up penny is good luck if you put it in your shoe.
I'm pretty sure those are the main ones. I don't put it past myself being superstitious at other times and just not realizing it. I remember being very superstitious as a child though, everything from cracks in the sidewalk to black cats to walking under ladders. I've grown out of it as an adult. For the majority.
