Oi, Ciao, Hello, Hola, gorgeous babes and gents. It’s another Sunday Funday and one day closer to starting a new year. 2019 will be filled with fun activities and most of all I will Be getting closer to finishing school. Getting closer to achieving my fitness goals. We went for our morning bike ride and made some fruit salad with poached eggs. I’ve been teaching Cat how to salsa dance and she has been a great student. Plus she looks awesome in her dress that I gave her for Christmas. Our band is playing a New Years party, which should be fun. I’m excited to be playing original music again, especially with the woman I adore.
The live album from Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes is pretty fucking good. The former Gallows vocalist still has the fire that made early Gallows records a must listen. I’ve been enjoying this track.
Today’s blog is going to be my year end list of all the new jams that have come into my life over the past year, in no particular order. Starting off with a record that lived on my player for about three months.
This next band I was super excited for their album release and wasn’t disappointed, they get better with every release.
Seeing these guys play a very intimate show, with some of the sludgiest riffs around was the highlight of my October.
Matt Pike and company put out a record filled with massive riffs and some of my favorite drumming. Can’t wait for this show in a couple weeks.
The Flatbush Zombies have quickly become one of my favorite newer hip-hop acts, they are great live and on record this track is serious fire.
This next song is by Denver metal band that is quickly gaining ground. Khemmis put out a record that blew me away when I first spun it. This track is my favorite
This next group of ladies is a fierce powerful beast of a Rock n Roll animal. Thunderpussy is what happens when you take Joan Jett and feed it some steroids. Crunchy riffs with a feminist bite.
Neko Case put out another brilliant record, in her very lengthy career. Featuring production from Bjorn from Peter,Bjorn, and John. This is a stylistic turn from past records.
Soft Kill came into my life and I was happier for it, my friend from San Diego gave me this record for my birthday because he knew I liked the 80’s post-punk sound.
When the new Yob record came out I was skeptical. Upon the first listen I was blown away by the raw emotion, and the heaviness. It was great hearing such a powerful record.
I would like to thank everyone that reads my blogs. I hope you all have a great 2019. Your support means the world to me. On to the best part
I’ve selected this year end bum. Because well it’s just so cute. She is a metalhead which I love, her favorite band is Amon Amarth (Fuck Yeah) she hates these photos, but I adore them. Definitely a major babe @marble_
Have a great day everyone!
