Well it’s been some time since I last wrote. I have made some decisions that I feel are for the best. I have decided to quit looking for a girlfriend. Because it’s just not worth the effort. Plus I need to get in shape before any woman will find me remotely attractive, my brains, and personality can only get me so far.
Also not being a fucking geek who makes pizzas for a living, then goes home and checks out bums on the Internet might help, school will help with the job part but in the end I will still be a geek who is obsessed with bums and music. Music, other than my dog Aleister Growley. Has always been there for me. On to the reviews and BUMS!
Now I thought Add Violence was good the follow up in the trilogy, Bad Witch is better. Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor have been making some well produced and great sounding records, for a hot minute, and the partnership couldn’t be stronger. “God Break Down The Door” channels Bowie and I love it. Another standout is “I’m Not From This World” with its eery industrial ambience.
I fucking love the new Yob record “Our Raw Heart” it is beauty and heaviness combined. Raw gripping emotions. The guitar tone is seriously amazing. I could go on, but I won’t. “The Beauty In Falling Leaves” rips my heart out every listen incredibly emotional. “The Screen” with its variation on theme structure and punishing crescendo was what pulled me in. Way to go Yob. Plus the story behind the album is a gut wrenching true story.
This review will be the smallest because I am in love with the new Neko Case record like I have been in love with her records since I first heard Furnace Room Lullaby in 2004.
The new release by Denver locals Khemmis. Is a really solid and well played album. It has some killer guitar tones and kick ass solos. It is heavy and melodic. The lyrics are of the power metal variety with a little growling for effect. The opening track “Bloodletting” kicks things off with a wallop of fuzz and twin guitar lead. They continue on with five more tracks all of them really great my favorite being “Maw Of Time” this is where their wizardry shines. My favorite solo of the album hands down. Check it out Khemmis-Desolation
Today I have two bums. I would like to share with everyone. The first one is @leetattar who is always so pretty, she has great sets, and is a great photographer as well. I grew up watching the Dukes Of Hazard so the jean shorts got me. The next one is @sirena_ who is a total babe, I’m a sucker for redheads, she’s got great curves and exotic look, both of these women are kryptonite to me. Redheads and Ukranian women you now know how to kill me
