@missy @lyxzen and @rambo asked us to tell a favorite family story this week. Well, the best stories I have in my family are from my mom, there are three short stories I think are worth being told.
1. My mom used to have a pet goose
Yes, when she was like around 9 y.o. she used to own a pet goose named Tico. He used to stay in the front yard of the house and he hated my greatgrandmother, so every time she entered the front gate he attacked her! So she used an umbrella to defend herself, opening it and using it as a shield. I laugh every time I imagine this!
2. She threw cabbage in my face
When I was a baby Mary I didn't want to eat basically anything, which, of course, drove my mom crazy sometimes. Literally! My grandma always tells mw this story that one day my mom was trying to make me eat cabbage and I didin't want to eat it at all, I was crying and she was getting angry, until she got so angry she took the cabbage in her hands and trew it in my face. I think I was no more than 2 years old... Crazy mama! Anyway... I still drive her crazy untill now so nothing has changed :P
3. She took a frog home
One day she came to my grandma and asked her: "Mama, can frogs bite?" My grandma didn't really know why she was asking that, until the next day my mom showed up with a big green frog in her hands. It happened that the day before, she passed by the swamp going home and had an urge to pick it up, but she was afraid it was gonna bite her, so she asked my grandma first, and than came back the next day to take it home.
Unfortunately I couldn't find a picture of my mom with her goose, Tico, but here you are a few pictures of her when she was little...
