Hm, here I am on another day off. What will I do today? Well, the internet seems a little slack, so I think I might try something novel and... read... a book. I know, I knowwho does that anymore, but I'm feeling a little anachronistic, so allow me to indulge myself.

I predict that, much like last night, I will also spend a portion of...

I was in a bad mood earlier. Work was boring. The bus let me off in the wrong spot. I walked in the snow. I went home. I listened to MC Face. I surfed the net. I thought about my day off tomorrow. I got happy.

But still I am worried about my friends.

Ok. Right now it feels like an eternity. This week is never going to end!!!!!!!!11

that Boo pic just makes me so happy. somehow i have to incorporate it in my SG profile.

anyway...quicksilver is something you NEED to read, and SOON. it deals with the shaftoes and the bolstroods and the waterhouses (wha-ta-hooses), and they're doing a LOT more. enoch root even shows up, and i'm trying to figure out how he's at least 400 years old. so far it's a great read, even though i know almost nothing about 17th century europe.

thank you for recommending Martin's "Song of Fire and Ice." i seem to recall it having been mentioned in passing by a few people, but unless i write something down, it usually gets lost. i'll definitely check it out, as i'm always looking for new things to read. Forgotten Realms is fluff, but Drizzt is pretty kickass, and Salvatore is pretty good at writing fight scenes. might i suggest reading "the death gate cycle" series from Weis and Hickman (also writers of the dragonlance series). it is a little hard to get into, but don't give up until the middle of the first book if you choose to check it out. there's a lot of jargon to learn, but once you do, it's amazing fun.

and re: your article....your bit about SW:G is hilarious. though the game is even MORE fun when you take into consideration all the bugginess and lag when loading the cities. and the comp i was using was pretty tricked out too. i have to admit though, stabbing to death one of those moo-things by the river was pretty fun. that's about all i played though.

let's see. besides boo, my hamster before him was brave hamster musashi. the one before him was named ashlar after an anne rice character. i like pop culture names for my hammies.

hm. it's not even 9am, and i'm attempting a coherent post. i apologize for the rambling. maybe i'll try again after my shower.
(oh, and i'm feeling much better, thank you. those z-packs work wonders. now i just have a persistent hack and a bit of a stuffy head.)

I just spent the last twenty minutes or so looking for pics of Scarlett Johansson's ass from the opening credit sequence of Lost In Translation. Didn't find any, but I did manage to clog up a few more megs on the harddrive by repeatedly right-click-saving pictures and wallpapers.

Work was so incredibly slack today. SO. INCREDIBLY. SLACK. For most of the afternoon there were...

And so the days blend into each other with only slight differentiations...

Today I went to work. Aside from me periodically coughing funny-coloured stuff up and fiddling with a character sheet (and having in-depth discussions about the political situations of The Realm in Exalted) it was pretty much like any other day.

Tonight I plan to sit around on my own and work on...

So, this is my third day of not working and, coincidentally, it's my third day of being sick. This sucks. When will it end?! Aren't I supposed to enjoy long weekends (especially considering that this is my first bunch of consecutive days off since I started my job)?!

Well, at least I've finished a rough draft of my Exalted character. God, I need to start...

Gloating? Me? Who is it that's the sex machine to all the chicks? Damn right.
What with all the kissing and winking; I see what's going on and I approve wholeheartedly. wink
Besides, I forgot just how crappy that particular piece of crap ranked in the alltime hall of crap, so now I remember it's craptitude rating to my pain and shame, isn't that punishment enough? tongue

bravo on going to work today, mr. "i'm going to answer the phone and then not say hi to malloreigh when she calls because i am a big meanie." bravo to me for typing this without my glasses on. my face is mere inches from the keyboard. YARR.

now i go back to sleep.

Called in sick to work today. It's one of those situations where I generally feel okay physically (except for my throat and congestion), but I know if I push myself (by, say, working) I'll revert back to where I was before.

So, I'm just going to hang around the house and read and drink tea and watch my new copy of Ghost World that I...

Today I am sick. Well, I was sick yesterday, too, but I had to go to work then. Today I am at home, trapped in a house where the viable sources of "food" are Mr.Noodles, instant popcorn, and potatoes. Man, starch is some good for you, huh? Thankfully, I have water and vitamins to round off this feast. This afternoon I may go to the...

It's stupid how fucking happy I am that The Lord of the Rings swept the Oscars.

Add that to the fact that Sofia Coppola won Best Original Screenplay for Lost in Translation and you have two of my three favourite films of last year represented (and considering that Kill Bill has another Volume due out ASAP, those are numbers I can live with).

Incidentally, if...

Okay, when you're in the middle of a conversation and you joke booty-call the other person and they come over anyway, that totally rules.

that NEVER works for me. tell me your secret!
