If you can't tell from my profile, I'm a culinary student. This was my first semester. I'm so glad its finally ended. I had to be up at 4:30am every weekday. Classes began at 6:30am, and I had to BART in from Oakland.
I've never worked so hard at anything in my life. I missed only a few days, and did most of it while working fulltime as well (read: 4 hours of sleep a night were typical.) But I totally loved it. My classmates were the best I've ever had and the chef instructors were brilliant.
I've always felt bad because I'm 30+ and feel like I'm spinning my wheels, going no where. Yet becoming a chef is something that means I've finally figured out what I'm going to do with my life. Better late than never, and its a huge monkey off my back.
I'll let you all know when my first cookbook is published.

Yeah I need to make a new journal entry. Maybe I'll go do that right now!
