So tomorrow I leave for war.
Again.
This will be my third deployment, though my first to where I'm going this time.
I'm not scared like I was my first time. The threat of IEDs and Indirect Fire are old enemies.
I'm not sad about leaving friends and family behind; my friends are coming with me, and my family is across the Atlantic anyhow.
It's time to do my job.
Honestly, truthfully, the things I'll miss the most is riding my motorcycle and having my own sleeping quarters.

Stay safe, return home.
If I wanted to never deploy again, I wouldn't have re-enlisted. I have 13 years left until retirement, so I imagine I'll deploy a few more times.
