A woman was thrown off a Southwest Airlines flight for wearing a t-shirt that said "Meet the Fuckers" on it and had pictures of Bush, cheney, Condi, and somebody else. So, I know that the plane is a privately owned business. and I know your first ammendment rights aren't protected in a private bestablishment. But aren't airlines regulated by the federal government. and not just regulated, but isn't there an issue where they are granted routes or is that just in my head? Is there a freedom of expression issue here or not? I know some people might want to argue it's political speech and should be protected, but I think the issue is that it had the word fuckers on it that makes that argument hard to swallow.

I recall that one guy was kicked off a flight for having a book with a picture of a nuclear bomb exploding on the front. Odd, odd world.
