I made the papers....bitches....
Not that it's a huge deal, it's not the first time... but it was an excuse to say "I made the paper...bitches..." I'll take any excuse I can get.
So yeah, any and all Lansing and Michigan folk looking for something to do on Friday night (the 18th) should come out and check out the show at Scene Metrospace. It's going to be a mad house.... a mad house, I say. All...and I do stress all of the interesting folk I have met in the past six months are coming out to see it... this includes all of the hipsters, sushi ya folk, Schuler folk, online folk, myspace folk, random lesbian folk... oh, and Katya is coming as my lovely, lovely date.... (If only she didn't already have a girlfriend...le sigh...) .... good gods...it's going to be a party.
...or should I say par-tay? Sorry, I couldn't resist.
In other distressing news, my playstation 2 finally imploded on me.... it was terminally ill for the last year or so, being a real prick about turning on, reading discs, etc. etc... well, last night I think I finally heard the death rattle of my friend, so today I went out and purchased a brand spanking, shiny new playstation 2, complete with online capabilities and a brand new duel shock (mine was near dead as well). You have no idea how happy I am. Now when my housemate Trevor has his new girlfriend downstairs and they are monopolizing our only dvd player so they can listen to make out music all night I can actually be watching the dvds I rent instead of sitting there in irritation because I am unable too... plus I can finally rationalize buying a few new games...seeing as how the new system works peachy keen, and better than my old one did. *Bliss overfloweth* Too bad I don't have broadband at the house, I might have to indulge and play final fantasy 11 then, which I skipped, because of all the online shit....mmmm... 12 is coming out, but I think it's for the new one... *Whines*... oh well, Suikoden 5 will be out in February, and that may or may not be slated for PS2... drool... all the new RPG's that I can finally play because I have a reliable system and the money to afford new games... can anybody recommend any good games?
...the truth is out, I am an uber dork. Well, I finally got all caught up on my bills and shit, and seeing as how the only reason I was hanging on to my dying PS2 for that long was because I couln't afford new one... I think I deserved to treat myself... hell, Trevor bought a new couch this weekend because his lady "doesn't like laying on the old one"... *rolls eyes*... primadonnas... blah.
So yeah, MICHIGAN FOLK, COME TO THE OPENING!!!! Do I need to get bold faced on you all? Because I will... it's a good oppurtunity to support local arts, and meet me while I am buzzing on wine and cotton candy...oh yes, there will be cotton candy... or shall I indulge in a snow cone? Hmmm...how about a wine snow cone? Classy.
