I've been wanting to get a tattoo for ages, but never got up to it. I've always had this mentality that what I choose as a tattoo will be with me for the rest of my life. And to me, it's difficult to choose something that I won't regret later down the road. Like what if I get an inverted pentagram, and 10 years later I decide it's ugly or no longer suits my lifestyle? I'm stuck with it forever!
How do you guys and gals decide on these things? It seems that many people get them at the time because it looks cool, but how do you get over the fact that you may regret it later down the road and that it may become an embarassment in the years to come?
I know my current lifestyle and what I would currently like as a tattoo, but I'm afraid of my tastes and lifestyle changing and being stuck with the ink on my skin that reflects my younger self. Anyone have any tips that would ease my reluctance in getting one?
Cheers, all advice and opinions are greatly appreciated
