Tour Entry No. 4
So, I haven't had a chance to update this since Colorado. After Colorado, we played in Wichita, Kansas, which went well. The kids dug it a lot. We stayed with this guy nate, who took us to these super cheap food places. I got a rad breakfast for like 5 bucks, and a fat ass burrito the next day for like $3.40. It was awesome. We played in Kansas City, Missouri the next day, and that didn't go so well. Hardly anyone showed up, but we sold some stuff, so it turned out okay. Next, we played in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at this legion hall, which was fucking awesome. When we rolled up, there were already like a hundred kids chilling outside. We made a grip of cash, and the promoter took us out for pizza afterwards. We stayed at this dude Chaz's house, which was fucking huge, in this nice part of Milwaukee. The next show was in Goshen, Indiana. We played this youth center type place. The turnout was great. We couldn't find a place to stay, so the promoter let us stay at the venue. They had foosball, 3 pool tables, Genesis, a few TV's, arcade games, and an indoor basketball court, so we got to run wild the whole night, shooting hoops and playing video games. Next, we moved on to Charleroi, Pennsylvania, which sucked. We were super late, played, the venue sucked, it was just a gross place, not promoted, horrible tunrout. The bright side was the fact that a bar was connected to the place, and they had these 7 ounce rolling rock beers for 60 cents, so it was a buck and 20 cents for 14 ounces of rolling rock. we got super cheap drunk, which was radical. We moved on to Middleton, Ney York, which was a good show, the last show that Invocation of Nehek played with us on this tour. We played went back to Pennsylvania the next day, Middleburg, and our van broke down. It turned out it was the battery, but we fucking were stuck in this shit town for 24 hours. We had it towed, waited for the other band to pick us up, and we stayed at a hotel. Then, the next day, Joe and I had to wait with Jerry, the drummer of Through The Eyes of the Dead. We had to stay with the trailer until the van was ready, at which point someone would come pick us and the trailer up in the van. We basically waited for 6 hours in gross ass heat, in the middle of nowhere. It sucked. Then, we were late to the show, and shit got worse. My drummer and singer got in a fight, and my drummer had a nervous breakdown, and we almost didn't play the show. Everything is fine now, but there was a monet where some of us thought the band might break up, just because of bullshit between Laura and Ben. Tonight, I played in Virginia Beach, which was sick. Huge turnout, nice sound at the venue. We were in downtown Virginia Beach, and there were just tons of beautiful women, it was insane. I've never been somewhere like that before. Just hot and crazy. Like Santa Cruz, only bigger and nicer. We're staying with Jake, one of the guitarists in Arsis. If you've never heard of Arsis, you should definitely check them out. Tomorrow, we go to Charlotte, North Carolina. Thats that. Evereything is fucking awesome. We're doing good on the tour, my beard is out of control, and I'm having a blast. I'll update this again ASAP. Radical.
