You speak the truth, sir. As upset as I am over the whole situation, I really tried and the deciding factor in this whole situation is that he is not an apartment dog, and since my move to SF that's all there is for him at this point. He needs to be with people who have a home and a backyard with a fence. He deserves a family that will love him as much as I do but can adapt to his needs, and I can't do that for him right now.
This is really for the best, and I've already found two potential families that want to take him in and become his parents and not just his owners, which is exactly what he needs.
Anyways, thanks for the reassurance and making me feel like I'm doing the right thing. This is one of the hardest decisions I've had to make in my life, but I feel like this is the right thing for him and for me.
