So about the stray cat...
We talked to the Vet again and he recomended that we put the cat on cage rest until he heals. He said that the cats body is lightweight enough that he should heal and be able to walk again without sugery. Since the cat can use the bathroom and everything else seems fine the surgery most likely wouldn't be needed. Not to mention it would be incredibly invasive and painful, and sine he isn't in pain anymore he is most likely better off without it.
It's funny because we had a volunteer from a local no kill shelter that was going to pay for everything. I was so happy for that, but even happier to know that we wouldn't need the help after all. So far so good. The cat gets around pretty well now actually. Next step after he heals is to get him shots etc, and try to introduce him into the household. My cat is pretty receptive to new animals, but I don't know about our new guy. Which reminds me...He needs a real name.
In other news...
Still real broke, and haven't been motivated to change it. I really like my full time job, but need more income. The work environment is almost perfect so I am reluctant to look for something else. I like being able to pretty much dress how I want and be myself in a plce where I like all of my coworkers and have very little stress. Seems like it's hard to find a good paying job with all of that. If anyone has any suggestions... Please fill me in. For the meantime i'm going to try to find ways to make money on the side I suppose.
