Turkey Day is five minutes away.
Usually, I opt out of participating with my "family" on this particular holiday. Usually, by this time of year, I've turned into a massive grinch who barely wants to get out of bed, let alone bath in yule tide joy.
That snow cap hasn't over come me this year, and I don't know why.
I feel like I finally get it. I have a lot to be thankful for.
I still have my amazing Father, Vous, Mr. Tigs, even my Mom, and of course, my wonderful and amazing friends.
I feel like in the last couple of years, I've been to hell and back, but as of right now, I'm ok.
I have wonderful memories of Thanksgiving from my childhood, my favorite being the day that my father took me to the HIV Shelter in SF, where we volunteered. The kindess, and joy I felt in that room all of those years ago, has stuck with me.
I'd like to do that again, I'd like to get back to volunteering.
I've started to remember how lovely my life is, has been, and continues to be.
Before this gets too sappy, I'd like to put this out there: I'm super thankful for all of the nekkid chicks that I get to look at every day on suicidegirls.com!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, we all have a lot to be thankful for!
