really curious about how someone like me could persue a career in a foreign country, at the moment, I'm currently a trainee accountant - something im not too thrilled about doing as a career, nor do i feel like i attribute to anything, I have an interest in architecture but i feel i wanna keep it solely as an interest or a hobby for spare time, I appreciate architects as they produce beauty, creativity and new boundaries, but i do not think i could be one, but I have a firm interest in being a teacher - something i regard as a serious thought, I believe that being a teacher - I could help provide the future with knowledge. I know this sounds silly, but I would like to feel I have left something in this world by the time I die, I want to feel I contributed somehow, and unfortunately accounting does not give me this sense of achievement, something about saving money from a company that is profitable and report it at a loss to the tax office, to me does not feel like i have contributed one bit, (no i am not standing up for that tax office, just a poor example). But not only do i want to feel like i have a purpose by contribution, I want to travel and explore, even set myself up overseas and teach. Of course the romantic story of being a single man in tuscany would be nothing short of mindblowing, but I am not after a 'fashion' - I want happiness in what I do, even if it is a simple 12 hour drive south to Melbourne for a move or a 24 hour flight to Europe for a move. Although, one thing I am also excited about is learning a new language!
so please people, if you have any experiences as working overseas, let us know your thoughts and your troubles and successes! It would be great to hear what you think!
