This has been bother me ever since the whole Virginia Tech thing happened. At first I didn't want to say anything at the risk of sounding like an asshole, but you know what, I am an asshole and it needs to be said. The fact is America is a society of victims, if one of the "victims" would have stood up to the little asshole maybe the death toll would have been a lot less than what it was. Those people died because they didn't have the courage to take their fate into their own hands. Heres an idea, what if one of the kids was carry a gun for self defense? (the fact that that firearms aren't allowed on campus not withstanding, though that didn't stop Cho did it?) Oh, no we'd rather live as victims waiting for the next psycho to come along and decide our destiny for us. I'm sure there was someone who at least put up somewhat of a fight, all while others stood and watched him or her get killed for their efforts. 36 people dead, 33 of which in the chained building that means he had to stop and reload more then once, and while he was reload no one tried to over power him? I think Virginia Tech is a sign of what we have become, a society that frowns upon showing anger outwardly so people are forced to hold it in, a society of victims people to afraid to face death standing up. It makes me sick.
I have my flame suit on because I'm sure someone is going to be horribly offended by what I have to say.
