ok, so maybe "hate" is a strong word... Maybe I just really, really, really dislike hearing so many people talking about what a "right" & "privilege" it is to kill one's own child. If someone drowns their kid they're considered a monster; but suck it out with a vacuum cleaner/kill it with drugs & its thought of as "having control over one's body." Yet, if you were truly in control of yourself (extenuating circumstances excluded) wouldn't you NOT be in the situation?
I know this isn't a popular view, but not everyone thinks alike. This is just another perspective. Food for thought, if you will. Something to marinate on: if our society, as a whole, doesn't value life in its earliest, most tender stage, how do we expect anyone to value it at any other stage?
I don't think ill of those that have gone thru such a thing. I know several people who have. It breaks my heart to know the guilt & pain they feel. No one I know did it because it was forced upon them nor as an act of self preservation, every one I know did it because the pregnancy was an inconvenience.
My parents were very poor when I was born. They both put themselves thru school, with help from their Service in the Military, while working full-time jobs and raising 2 kids. My life hasn't always been great but I'm glad they didn't think I was too inconvenient.
