I am alive!
I had an endoscopic L4/L5 decompression surgery on 11/1 and it has done the trick! The nagging pain that had grown increasingly worse in my left leg is completely gone. And all through an incision only a half an inch long. Quite amazing really. This was my first trip to the hospital (except when I had my tonsils out when I was 7) so I was more than a little apprehensive. I have to say it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and professional and the only ill effects from the anesthesia was a little irritation in my throat from the breathing tube but that has already passed. I went in at 7AM and walked out at 2:30PM. What a relief. Now, after a short recovery period, I can get on with my life.
