Depression can sometimes cause you to sleep half the day, but if it's been a longstanding issue it might be helpful to get a referral to a sleep clinic. I assumed I was sleeping all the time 'cos I was seriously overweight (I lost 100lbs later, but that didn't make a difference) and my body was just tired, but it turns out that wasn't the case at all. It's an important thing to try and fix 'cos it really does affect everything-- having a job, going to school, going out with friends, having the energy and concentration to do anything in life

you know; you only *need* 7 or so hours. mild depression is usually the cause of this. exercise and activities alleviate most common symtoms of mild depression. I know this, not because I am a donut maker, but because I have suffered from mild depression. are you exercising and/or being active? do you regularly ride a bicycle?
