A (kinda?) brief, transgressive love note... I am a sucker for holidays, what can I say?
**************
A beloved European friend of mine once told me, to my disappointment, that it annoyed her that U.S. citizens call themselves "Americans", when we share the American hemisphere with Canada and South America. I say THIS, to my northern and southern brothers and sisters, with your silly and provincial loyalties... let's strengthen our ties, unify, and take over this WHOLE FUCKING PLANET. Lmao. Yes, that means that we would subjugate you ALL, basically, but you have to choose a team, in the end days, do you not? LMAO, c'mon grow up, kids... it is all meaningless apples and oranges at this point. Take a bite of something, and chew, and swallow... and wait to choke on it, regardless. Line up the chess pieces with logical order and minimal thought. Will make for a fun end game. 🤣🖕
And although I write this 2+ hours after the birthday of my beloved country, it still counts... because it is not July 5th until I fucking wake up tomorrow.
I love this country. I SERVED this country. I would shed my last drop of blood for America, willingly, tomorrow, if they called upon me to do so. To those that say we are lost? Myeh myeh myeh evil, evil times? I say bullshit. I love even the vile, despicable things about my insane nation... and maybe that makes me a bigger patriot than most. Than YOU, even, precious. You love SOME of what this country is about... but not all of it. In point of fact... perhaps you do not quite get what being American MEANS... you are not on board with the yin and yang of it, and you should search your souls a bit. But I digress. Delve into our history a bit deeper. Figure that shit out. You can own who we are, or keep pretending you live in Fairyland Utopia. You DON'T... and you never will.
If you don't like what is happening right now... be a better American, and VOTE NEXT TIME. Jackasses. Blame your own laziness, and dismissive folly, for what vexes you presently. But don't blame your "enemies", who KNOW what they believe.
After watching the (almost punishingly powerful, very PTSD LOUD) fireworks at NY State Plaza in Albany tonight... all I can say is that I am proud to be a citizen, and servant, and unfailing devotee of a country that still, to this weak-ass, whiny, hand-wringing day... celebrates their Independence with gunpowder.
GUNPOWDER, motherfuckers. Remember that. ;-}> Not with flowers, and handouts, and happy thoughts. Gunpowder. For an hour last night, Albany sounded like an 18th-century battlefield. And that, naturally, is the whole point.
Kisses and love! xoxoxo
