i was looking at the reviews of the sg book at amazon, and came across 2 that i find humorous. so i feel the need to share them with you here.
"This is so terribly overrated. A bunch of random photographs of girls with piercings and brightly colored hair; the kind of thing that was "cool" in the 90s. These models claim to be on the site because its tastefully done and its a way for them to express themselves and that they feel more self-confident. It must be very empowering to sell your p***y online, whether you are some "art-school girl with glasses" or the average blonde, fake-boobed porn actress. It all boils down to the fact that these girls are getting naked for money and that guys help themselves to short-lived pleasure while looking at their website and books. Now thats so...different."
"This is not "counter-culture" at all. It's feeding into the same woman-hating BS that's been everywhere for the past eon or two. These are images of female oppression. Nothing new here; move along."
eh, so, sg is female oppression? i find that hilarious. and the whole "kind of thing that was cool in the 90s." piercings and brightly colored hair was always cool, and still is. unfortunately i can't color my hair until i find another job. this makes me sad. i showed up to work one day with bright red hair and i almost got fired because it's not "professional" looking. i work in blockbuster. a fucking video store. what's the big deal?? oh well. i'll just have to wait until i find a stable job that doesn't discriminate.
