i was walking up myrtle, and watching the city glimmer in the night from across the river, when the smokestacks reminded me of something from my childhood. it was something i had forgotten and it made me smile. when i was a little boy, we lived a little ways away from this paperplant, and we would lay in the yard and stare out at the smokstacks. they would belch out these thick couds of white smoke and, i am sure they were realeasing a ton of dangerouse chemicals, but my sister covinced me that it was a cloud factory. so i would watch these baby clouds drift across the sky and i was amazed and so proud that the cloud factory was in my neighborhood. yeah, and it was just funny to think about, but i knew, unlike anything else in my life, that this was true. i believed it with all my heart. theres not much i believe like that anymore.
