Ruidoso is a nice town. As for the assignment, things are going well, we're cutting along the road up to the ski slopes and hazard trees that the fire created. It is pretty tough considering the only level ground is the road, which is also the ground that doesn't slide out from under you as well. It's definitely a somewhat trust in your ability as a sawyer to not mess up since there really is no way to run out from under a tree should you fuck up. So that part is a little scary, but that's why it's only advanced sawyers doing the assignment. As for other stuff, they put us all up in a three bedroom house owned by the govt, luckily I brought my hotspot otherwise there's no tv, no movies, no radio except for the one in the truck. The heat is a wood burning stove in the living room, but it's not getting cold at night so that's no big deal. There are a bit of deer that roam around the compound and elk up on theroject site. Heard a young bull practicing his bugle call this afternoon, he needs to get better otherwise he wont get any cows this rut.
So, that's that
