A belated Happy Easter unto you all.
I spent the weekend in Bath staying at my best mate's house. We were organising all of our old college materials for the production of our final cut Double DVD set. In amongst all our stuff were copies of many of the other students productions which were about 60:40 good stuff to dross. Fact is many of our contemporaries were very talented and limited only by technology. If they all picked up DV and started work again then we'd have a bunch of really interesting film work to look at, untouched by the ravages of tape erosion or background hiss.
Which reminded me why i wanted to do this whole thing in the first place. I can't believe that I accidentally happened to go to college with a bunch of incredibly talented filmmakers and it was just a fluke. So I have the means to make this DVD and I hope it encourages more creativity on my part and on the part of people who see how easy it is.
Thankfully we got through all our work before the clocks got screwed with so my subsequent disorientation hasn't had an impact. Inserting an hour in to the day in Winter always seems to pass without incident. Removing one in Spring alwaysleaves havoc, yawning and wooziness in its wake.
Also lapped up 15 eps of The Shield Season 3 on Region 1 import which was, as always, stunningly good and went to see Ocean's Twelve in the cinema, which was possibly the worst movie I have ever seen.
Now, back to my decision about what to do with my job and my life... what to do with a life that has become so stressful it's made me ill? And how to do anything about it without causing more stress? Any suggestions welcome.

Yeah I heard O12 wasn't so hot, kinda avoided it on purposes. I bet Meet The Fokkers (which I *have* seen) is worse though...
Keep well, and get on that creative train.
