Intro blog post? Sure, let's go for it.
A friend let me borrow his SG Guide to Living dvd early in the year and I got completely hooked so I've been lurking the SG site for a couple months now. A late scholarship just put a giant chunk of change into my pocket so after celebrating in campus bars with my roommates (and boy did I celebrate ... on a Wednesday) I figured it would be an excellent idea to indulge in the SG site membership I've been lusting after.
So here I am.
I'm Emma, a 21 year old civil engineering student graduating in May 2011. I like all things science fiction. I spend more time on the internet than I should. I love making people laugh and I'm a big gay. As far as tattoos go I've only got one right now but I'm getting another one in the near future.
Let's get to know each other.

Here's an SG online culture tip for you. Typically, you would talk to someone by posting a comment on their latest journal ("blog") entry, and they would answer by posting on your journal. The conversation would therefore be taking place in both journals, but this has one big advantage -- you can see right away when someone has said something to you, because the little number at the top of the page -- the middle number, next to the word balloon, which is the number of posts on your latest journal entry -- would go up.
Or not, there are a number of different ways to do it.
Anyway, have fun.
Have fun here!
(I like sci fi too)
