Ok so i should do this more often...
Christmas and New Year passed without much controversy...although i really missed my sister, she was in Austrailia with the new boyfriend.
Played a great gig with Corrigan on the 27th Dec. It's really frustrating being in this band...singer Martin and guitarist Danny are very busy with their other outfit Alloy Mental. They're a electro/punk/techno beast masterminded by a pretty famous local dj/producer. Their album is nearly done and is released sometime soon on Skint records. This is all great except it means they have very little time to work on Corrigan. We have an album half-finished and it's anyone's guess as to when we'll get round to finishing it. I sometimes wonder if they've lost interest in it due to all the acclaim and exposure Alloy Mental have been getting. It would be a great shame if we didn't at least get the album finished, as it should be fucking incredible.
All this would probably be driving me insane if it weren't for all the activity with Robyn Shiels. His album has been getting lots of Radio One airplay and some great reviews...
Lifetime of Midnights
We're playing in London next weekend Saturday 21st January at Koko in Camden. It's ex-Libertines Carl Barat's club night or something. It should be a good one. Then we're back over in March to record a session for Radio One's Huw Stephen's show in the legendary Maida Vale studios. This is really exciting. We'll have more gigs booked in London around that time also. I'm really into Robyn's music, playing with him is a treat. He's also an awful lot of fun to hang out with.
So all is pretty good. I still have to sort my own music out, maybe get a band together, or at least finish some recordings for people to hear. I have an abundance of songs on my PC, although many of them still require lyrics...and i seem to have temporarily(i hope) dried up in this department.
It's all music music music I'm afraid, but it is my one true love after all. I need me some romance.
